Finding this last week really hard. As well as I am doing eating well and keeping my carb intake low I've got to admit I'm starving. I can't seem to find anything to fill me up and end up eating more food after eating my main meal. They say that you need to drink plenty of water as part of your hunger is actually thirst and I'm trying that but lets face it sometimes YOU ARE JUST HUNGRY!!! I'm still not eating anything silly but still this diet is hard. Or at least that's how I feel.
I've now hit the point of my .... month...? That I am in need to CAKE and finding it hard to be strong. I'm still not having any but I'll admit to slipping occasionally if I'm on the brink of killing someone to have some Raw Chocolate, which is not that bad surely I've decided.
But hard times. I'm being strong., I hope that all of you other dieters are being too. Off for a run again tomorrow with my group so wish me luck. Almost fell asleep this morning after my run so fingers crossed I feel better tomorrow!
To all of you cake eaters, have some for me I really need it. Until then this is the only cake I will be even looking at.
So with reading and learning more and more about our food and our how we make it I have been changing my habits, firstly by going organic but also I've been looking at myself and thinking about my health. I go through patches of detoxing and having a clear out but I need to make bigger changes to my life to stay healthy, so I've decided to finish off loosing my 'baby weight' (as I'm calling it, but its probably just an excess of cake lets face it).
I've started up with a running club to get me into training to run 5k, which I can't right now that's for sure. I started last week and although I've not done my homework, (Sorry Anne) I am determined that I will be able to do it at the end of the course. I'm also cutting down on my carbs as well as cutting out the cake as I went on the paleo diet last year and I did really well on it... Until I let go and fell back on the cake. It is actually really hard to go without carbs all together, so rather than cut it out completely I'm cutting down massively as I used to eat carbs for every meal. I am totally off the cake though!
So all systems are go! The photo the I've put up is of my dinner. I made fresh spaghetti bolognese, but I didn't have the spaghetti I changed it for carrot shavings and it was really nice! I usually use courgettes and give them a quick steam but I was so hungry I couldn't be bothered and I do love carrots. I was really pleased with it as it was sweet and yummy. So if you are trying to loose weight give it a go. Its definitely not the same as eating pasta but as long as it tastes nice and you fill yourself up it will do the job. Wish me luck!
