Finally it was launch day and after a gruelling last few days of ensuring that it became a reality, the magazine came together in time for the party.  Drinks were poured and the room was filled with food and more food.  We had a wonderful feast as well as some lovely wine from our wonderful hosts Valentinos on the Park in Palmers Green.  I say we, as one of our writers is an events organiser Dani Gavriel Stardust Events and organised a great event full of locally produced food by local businesses, a favourite idea for us both.  We are both massive advocates of shopping local for food as well as businesses so this was the perfect party. 

The launch was full of our friends, family and of course various local MP's and councillors that came to support but I think for both Stardust and Cibare we felt that it was time for us to enjoy ourselves with those that mattered most.  If you came along a massive thank you for your support.  If you gave us your amazing food or little trinkets for our lovely goodies bags you are our stars of the night as you made it what it was. ​  But a very large thank you too, to Valentinos on the Park, Andrew Prod Photography as well Stardust Events for making our Cibare Food Magazine launch party a great success.

I never know what to eat although I love to cook, but sometimes what I end up with is a culmination of what I can see, scavenging the fridge as well as my store cupboard (if I am lucky).  I had a great spaghetti dish with carrots courgettes and chorizo the other day which worked out really well.  With some herbs and balsamic vinegar and if course some lovely cheese on top it made a great meal of leftovers all in a bowl of heaven.  Unfortunately I was all out of wine but it is nice to actually plan your meals, especially if you have kids.  

Take a peek at our meal planner as you can get some great meals out of a little preparation, and lets face it lack of inspiration can go a long way.  I know I certainly need it as my left overs only go so far.  Its nice to spend some time to make something really nice even when I don’t want to think about cooking much its nice to know that you can have something you really want to eat with just a little preparation.
